Together with them on stage were supporting card fighters, Christian “The Warrior” Lee, Wan “The Werewolf” Jian Ping, Gina “Conviction” Iniong, and Natalie “The Kilapino” Gonzales Hills.

ONE Championship CEO Victor Cui said, “We are excited to be in Manila for another crazy fight week.  ONE: Kings of Destiny is shaping up to be one of the best fight cards this year for ONE Championship.”

ONE Championship Vice-President of PR and Communications, Loren Mack who officiated the panel, stated, “Thank you very much for being here in today’s press conference at the City of Dreams. I really appreciate the crowd, and we are happy to be back. It’s going to be an electric night on April 21st at the Mall of Asia Arena, giving you the best card yet with 10 fights, and 20 fighters coming from all over the world to put on a world-class show.  As always, we put together the best cards in ONE Championship history because we know how Filipinos love Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).”

The 33-year-old defending ONE Lightweight World Champion, Eduard Folayang belongs to the roster of the legendary Team Lakay in Baguio City.  The Filipino veteran is one of the Philippines’ most experienced mixed martial artists. Folayang stormed in a career resurgence in 2016, winning three consecutive bouts against high-profile opponents, while showcasing a highly-improved wrestling and grappling arsenal. In his last bout, he shocked the world by capturing the ONE Lightweight World Championship with an outstanding victory over Japanese MMA legend, Shinya Aoki.

“I am honored to be fighting in front of my fans in Manila.  I want to make the Filipino people proud, and prove to the world once again that the Filipino mixed martial artists are among the best in the sport,” Folayang said.  “Ev Ting is a worthy challenger, but I will do my best to win and keep the belt,” he added.

For the main event slated on April 21st at the MOA Arena, Folayang’s challenger, Ev “ET” Ting of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia will be on a run on his own, winning his last four bouts, which includes two impressive victories at lightweight to become the top contender for the title. Ting stated, “I am blessed to be in this position, challenging Eduard Folayang for the ONE Lightweight World Championship belt.  Eduard is a solid competitor, and I have the utmost respect for him.  I have prepared myself well with one of the best training camps I have ever experienced.  There will be fireworks on fight night.”
