It is going to be an honor for the Philippines to host the sixth edition of the FIA Motor Sport Conference, slated on June 4-6, 2018 in Manila. The first-ever in Southeast Asia.
The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) is bringing to the Philippines the world's most prestigious motor sport event this year. The FIA is the world’s biggest motoring organization based in Geneva, Switzerland.
"We are proud to launch this important event in the Philippines," said Frederique Trouve, FIA Motor Sport Conference Project Director. "The FIA are impressed by the past activities of the AAP, and we are confident and happy to be working with this prestigious organization," she added.
The Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP), which is known to be the country’s National Auto Club, will be hosting the Conference, with the support of the Department of Tourism and corporate sponsors, most notably Petron Corporation, the official fuel partner.
Department of Tourism (DOT) Assistant Secretary Frederick Alegre reveals, "We are putting together our efforts to create awareness in sports and adventure for the Philippines in 2018. For this event, the DOT is committed to support and coordinate with security forces, the AFP, and the local government units concerned to make sure that everything will run smoothly."

The 2018 Motor Sport Conference is expected to gather 350 delegates from FIA national partners and global stakeholders to discuss the trends in motor sport. The 2018 Motor Sport Conference event will include MotorEx, which showcases the trends in safety, innovation, environmental protection, as well as the latest models from leading car brands.
