It has long been noted that Filipino directors, films, and actors are hailed for their excellent work, and recognized at international film festivals. Recently, another homegrown Filipino raked in three awards in Vesoul, France for the film John Denver Trending.
Filipino director and writer, Arden Rod Condez and the cast and crew of the film John Denver Trending won three awards namely, the Jury Prize Ex-aequo, Critic Award, and the Audience Award for a Fiction Film at the Festival International des Cinemas d'Asie de Vesoul (Vesoul International Film Festival of Asian Cinema), which were shown from February 11 - 18, 2020 in Vesoul, France.
In February of each year, the Vesoul International Film Festival of Asian Cinema shines the spotlight on Asian films & filmmakers. Through the organization of hundreds of events dedicated to other countries' history, traditions and heritage, France and its people warmly welcome and are eager to discover the richness of art and culture from all over the world.
